If you use essential oils in a bath, dilute the 5 to 6 drops of essential oil in a bland oil or milk first before adding you your bath water. Otherwise, the oils will stay undissolved in the water and may potentially irritate your skin.

Bath oils - essential oils individually or blended are excellent as bath oils. 3 to 5 drops of essential oils in a full bath is sufficient. Just add to the water and agitate the water with your hand to disperse the oil before entering the bath.

Essential oil in your bath water has to be mixed thoroughly before you enter the bath tib. Ideally, mix 5 or 6 drops of the essential oil in a tablespoon or 2 of carrier oil first and then add the mixture to your bath water.

An aromathic bath is done by adding 5 or 6 drops of your chosen essential oil to the bath water and stirring it with your hand before getting into the tub.

A few drops of Lavender essential oil in a bath helps you relax and helps ease tension. Excellent bedtime bath for those with insomnia.
