avocado oil is a nourishing oil that makes an excellent carrier oil for aromatherapy.

avocado oil can be used to make lotions as it contains lecithin which stabilizes oil in water emulsions.

I used to make a simple sunscreen by shaking some distilled water, titanium dioxide and avocado oil to form a light brown lotion which I applied before going out in the sun.

Avocado penetrates the skin easily, contains vitamins A, D and E as well as carotinoids. It is a wonderfully nourishing oil to treat your skin with.

Aging skin produces less oil. Massage with oils that contain traces of geranium, jasmine, neroli or rose essential oils with avocado oil, jojoba oil, wheatgerm oil would help balance mature skin.
